With this new academy Rheinland-Pfalz wants to show how fascinating and varied transatlantic educational work can be: from Summer School to ARTlantic Days, from expert panels to student workshops, and from foreign politics to youth culture.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Am 22. Februar 1996 &#8211; Washingtons Geburtstag &#8211; hat Ministerpr&auml;sident Kurt Beck in Kaiserslautern das B&uuml;ro der Atlantischen Akademie Rheinland-Pfalz er&ouml;ffnet. Mit dieser neuen Akademie will Rheinland-Pfalz die mit seinem &quot;Nachbar Amerika&quot;-Jahr 1995 begonnene engere Zusammenarbeit mit der in Rheinland-Pfalz beheimateten amerikanischen Gemeinde sowie mit Partnern jenseits des Atlantiks intensivieren und institutionalisieren. Am 16. Oktober 1996 wurde der Tr&auml;gerverein &quot;Atlantische Akademie Rheinland-Pfalz e.V.&quot; gegr&uuml;ndet; seit dem 1.
