Maternity/Paternity Pay

This office calculates, grants and notifies applicants of their maternity/paternity pay. Spouses of NATO troops may claim maternity/paternity pay if they 1) are EU citizens – or 2) were employed in German civil service until the birth – or 3) worked in German public law service – or 4) were employed in a more than marginal job – or 5) were receiving maternity/paternity pay, compensation according to §2 para. 2 BErzGG in the form of unemployment benefit/relief, sick/injury pay.
